Hi! My name is Saes.

I was born and raised in Daegu, South Korea until I was 15, and then I moved to the U.S. 

My journey to a vegan diet started when I was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure in 2011. 

With a strict vegan diet, I was able to stop hemodialysis treatements in 9 months and my health was back on track. 

With this amzing experience, I decided to continue this wonderful, healthy diet to keep myself from getting sick again. 

 

Currently, I go to the University of Maryland. I was majoring in Economics and wanted to 

go to business school but something wasn't right. I wanted to do more with my interests in health and food. Therefore, I decided to my major to community health to help people to establish healthy eating habits and  educate people how food can turn into medicine. I want to share my knowledge and experiences  with as many people as possible.

 

I love all kinds of vegan food but I have to say my favorites are Korean dishes.

 I created this blog to share my homemade, healthy vegan Korean dish recipes so you guys can experience 

authentic and fusion Korean dishes that Koreans love to cook and eat.
